Start Here: Homeschooling Can Feel Simpler Than This
If homeschooling feels heavier than you expected, you are in the right place
Maybe you began with hope and vision—but now you feel buried under curriculum choices, inconsistent days, guilt, clutter, second-guessing, or the constant question of whether you’re doing enough.
Or maybe your homeschool works on paper, but it doesn’t feel peaceful. There is too much tension, too much rushing, too much pushing, and not enough room to breathe.
I want you to know something important:
Homeschooling does not have to feel this complicated.
And you do not need to become a “perfect homeschool parent” to create something beautiful for your family.
That is exactly why I created this space.
Who This Is For?
I write for two kinds of homeschooling parents—though many people are both.
1. The Overwhelmed Homeschool Parent
You’re carrying too much.
Too many resources. Too many opinions. Too many unfinished plans. Too many expectations.
You want clarity, rhythm, and a way to homeschool that feels sustainable instead of exhausting.
2. The Thoughtful Homeschool Parent Who Wants More Depth
Perhaps you’re completely new to this.
You’re not looking for more busywork or trend-based curriculum.
You want meaningful learning, rich family culture, connection, wonder, living books, calmer days, and an education that actually fits real life.
You want substance—but not chaos.
If either of these sounds like you, welcome.
I’m a homeschooling mom to 5 awesome kiddos, ages ‘big kid’ down to newborn. My husband and I have been married for 12 years and our family is based in Ontario, Canada.
As the mentor/coach behind Simplicity Homeschooling, I help overwhelmed homeschool parents step out of the cycle of overconsumption and rebuild a simpler, sustainable way of learning—before burnout makes homeschooling feel impossible.

What I Help You Transform
My work is rooted in a simple belief:
When we remove what is unnecessary, what matters most can flourish.
That means I help homeschooling parents move from:
Not through perfection.
Not through doing more.
But through simplifying what has become unnecessarily complicated.

There are past posts about:
Homeschool Systems - clarity on the external structures that support homeschooling. Things like time management, routines vs. rhythms, working parent dynamics, meal planning, budgets, legal, and more.
Homeschool Mindset - the internal world, or the thing that sustains you in the long-term. Posts about building community, confidence, balancing personal needs, combatting guilt, and more.
Child Well-Being - the place where your kids’ experience is front and centre. Posts about motivation, self-directed learning, de-schooling, socialization, neurodiversity, and more.
Parent Well-Being - the spot where we build your capacity. Posts about fatigue and burnout, spouse involvement, nervous system work, lifelong learning, and more.
These will help you feel relief quickly.
Step 3: Use One Resource at a Time
Choose one practical tool from the Free Resource Library and implement it gently.
No binge-improvement required.
Step 4: Go Deeper When Ready
When deep-dive resources and courses become available, you’ll have clear next steps for deeper support.
If 1:1 mentorship feels like a fit for you now, please reach out for more details.
But much of it adds pressure.
More curriculum.
More manipulative.
More optimization.
More comparison.
More to manage.
I help you subtract what isn’t serving your family so you can finally see what matters.
I believe homeschooling can be:
calm
connected
intellectually rich
relationally warm
flexible
deeply human
sustainable long-term
And yes—simple.
A Personal Note
If you’ve been feeling behind, discouraged, inconsistent, or unsure…
You are not failing.
You may simply be trying to carry too much.
Sometimes the next breakthrough in homeschooling is not adding something new.
It is releasing what no longer belongs.
That is the work we do here.
